Bye Katie!

Sad days ahead. We aren't quite sure how we're going to survive without Katie around. Everyone already knows how I feel about Katie, so I'll spare you the mushy stuff. She's my "person". She has either lived with me or close by me for a very long time. It was hard to see her go. We are really going to miss her. Other then that, we've had a pretty uneventful week. The boys are enjoying the new neighbor kids. They ride bikes and go fishing almost everyday. We've actually managed to stay away from the video games suprisingly enough. I was told that I am the meanest mom in the world when I told them they couldn't play more then 2 hours a day. Thanks to the new neighbor kids they've gotten over that. They like me again. Matt took them to the Royals game the other night. They always love that.

Crazy Week

So, we are finally back. We hated to leave, but the kids are glad to be home. They've caught back up with their friends and met some new ones. We have 2 new neighbor kids! The numbers are rising. They have 3 friends in our neighborhood to play with now. That's big for living out in the middle of no where. I've tried to get caught back up, but haven't been that successful so far. The kids made sure not to let me forget that it's still summer. We've been to Deanna Rose the pool twice and a few trips to the park. So.....Matt stepped in and took them camping for the weekend. I stayed home to work and try to get back on track. So far I am enjoying the silence.

We had fun spending the day with Katie at Deanna Rose. I know we just spent 3 weeks with her, but we are sad that she is leaving. What will we do without Katie!!

Cole got an early birthday present before they left. He was really excited to get his new fishing pole.

Father's Day

This is one of my favorite pictures of Matt and the boys. I am guessing it was taken about 3 years ago. Anyway, the boys had fun doing all the stuff they do on Father's Day. "They" made him breakfast and brought it to him in bed. They were excited as always to give him his cards and presents. They tried to talk me into the new Indiana Jones game for Wii, with the reasoning that daddy would love it. I quickly reminded them that daddy doesn't play video games that often and they reluctantly gave up. The look on their faces was so funny. They really thought they could get that one by me. The kids and Matt both had a great day. Any day they get to hang out and spend time together is a good day for all of them.

Red Rock

The boys and I went to Red Rock today. They love going there. They had a tough time in their Crocs and flip flops, but we worked it out. We got up early and beat the heat, so it was really nice. We had a great time. We are thinking about heading home one of these days soon. We are having such a good time, we just haven't wanted to leave. We appreciate all of our family here. They are so good to us and we've had so much fun spending time with them.

The fun continues.....

Jennifer, Katie and I have not had a chance to spend very much time together in a long time. We've tried to make up for lost time on this trip. We missed Sarah and Rachel last night.
This picture was taken specifically for Jon and Dan. This fountain should bring back memories for you guys. We realized later we might have the wrong fountain, but you get the idea.
Wow, aren't we cute?
Here's Shawn. I missed him last time. He and Owen are having a really good time together.
I thought this was a cute picture of Aaron. I still can't believe how grown up he is!

Blanchard Cousins

Jen, Katie and I took all 6 kids to the pool yesterday. They are having so much fun spending time together. Ali and Sam both have a crush on Owen. Too funny. Anyway, I don't have much to say. I just wanted to post these pictures of the Blanchard kids so you could see how much they've all grown. Aaron is 11! Wow, that makes me feel old. Some how I missed Shawn. I will try to get a picture of him later this week.
